  2. "SOL Tracker" (above) takes you to a page that has broken down the SOL topics into a bulleted list.
  3. Clicking on the SOL (left) takes you to the SOL tracker for that specific SOL.

Upon clicking on the lesson links within the SOL, you will see a table similar to the one below. Live links will take you to instructional materials. This site is always under construction so if you find or create a great instructional resource, please email it to me!

SOL Description
The 2009 Virginia Department of Education Standards of Learning topic that is being addressed. Curriculum Guide - document combining VDOE framework, vertical articulation, teacher notes and elaborations, and more!
Essential Knowledge and Skills
This section is from the VDOE Curriculum Framework and outlines what each student should know and be able to do in each standard. This is not meant to be an exhaustive list nor a list that limits what is taught in the classroom. It is meant to be the key knowledge and skills that define the standard.
Essential Understandings
This section is from the VDOE Curriculum Framework and delineates the key concepts, ideas and mathematical relationships that all students should grasp to demonstrate an understanding of the Standards of Learning. In Grades 6-8, these essential understandings are presented as questions to facilitate teacher planning.
